Through the body and its motion
The classes and workshops are led by Sophie Gauthier-Clerc, dancer-performer and artistic mediator in a helping relationship.
After training in classical and modern'jazz dance at EPSEDANSE with Anne-Marie Porras and Rudy Bryans, she joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon (CNSM) in contemporary dance and then continued her career with professional companies in France and abroad (Compagnie Coline with Sandrine Chaouili, Ballet Jazz de Montréal, Compagnie Latino).
In 2000, the desire to meet the spectators to transmit the dance beyond the show allowed her to continue her career in Dance-Therapy. Trained at ARTEC with Paolo Malvarosa in Dance-Ritual, Dominique Hautreux in Sensitive Expression, Benoît Lesage in Psycho-Corporelle, Gilles Lecocq in Body in Memory, Catherine Deshays in helping relationship, she also met the Sufi with Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam and Abdeslam Michel Raji, then in the same inspiration, Yoga with Bernadette Jonquet in Tibetan inspired Yoga.
She then opened the Dance and Well-being centre in Montpellier in 2005.
In addition to the Dance and Well-being workshops she leads, she is also trained as a yoga teacher to deepen her practice at the Manolaya Yoga Centre (French Federation of Yoga Practitioners) and will continue her training with Eric Baret in Kashmir Yoga.
In 2011 she chose to settle in the Jura in the heart of nature and opened Yogadanse classes. The fruit of her journey, she transmits with Yogadanse the danced motion from its enrichment towards listening to the inner motion.
Enriched by the encounter with Luis Ansa (the Way of Sense) a few years earlier and his 12 years of experience as a yogini, Yogadance is a personal proposal that aims to transmit to you the pleasure, the joy, the awareness of living your own inner intensity, in a living and peaceful bodily reality and in a search for freedom.
